In March 2009, Aydian Dowling turned on a webcam and started talking about becoming a man. At 16, he had come out as a lesbian. Now he was “transgendering.”“Finding out that you’re gay is hard enough and now I have to figure out some other stuff,” he said in a YouTube video, the first of many documenting his transition. “I don’t think I’m like a man trapped in a woman’s body.
