High Speed Pursuit Ends in Violent Head-on Collision on Colorado Bridge

A high-speed pursuit in Pasadena ended in a head-on collision on the Colorado Street Bridge on Friday night.

The chase began after witnesses began calling 911 around 8 p.m. reporting the driver of a Toyota Corolla swerving wildly in the Pasadena area, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The pursuit ended when the driver failed to negotiate a curve leading to the Colorado Street Bridge and slammed head-on into a Nissan Maxima carrying two adults and a little girl, the CHP stated.

Video from the scene showed firefighters had to cut some of the victims out of the wreckage.

All four people were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
