American wounded in Pakistan in apparent terrorist shooting, police say

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — An American doctor was critically wounded Thursday in Karachi after being shot in the head in an apparent terrorist attack, police said. Authorities said the woman was also vice-principal of Jinnah Medical and Dental College, a private medical college in the southern city.
